Many of you may not know that we are moving to Gillette. It has been a long couple of weeks!! Travis was laid off at Wyoming Machinery in Casper on April 7th. On April 10th he started at Mobile Concrete, worked 10th, 11th, 14th, 17th, 18th till 11am when they fired him stating that he could not meet minimal requirements. He is not sure what they expected in less than 5 full working days but we have decided that them letting him go was a blessing in disguise. He spent the next full days organizing the house and garage. He applied everywhere anyone referred him to as well as anywhere we could find that was hiring! He had 4 interviews, 2 with Wyoming Machinery, 1 with Compression Leasing, and another that I can't remember who with. Comression Leasing and both of the Wyoming Machinery positions were supposed to let us know if they had a job for him on April 30. As we felt we needed to leave Casper we packed and made our first trip to Gillette on the 30th. We placed that load in a 10x30 storage unit. Compression leasing would have been a difficult position for our family but as he interviewed he did not feel that it would pan out. He felt that the Wyoming Machinery job in Gillette would work out. It is great that my husband follows the prompting that he feels because.....he got the job in Gillette yesterday. They tried to call him on Friday but since he was in a bad cell area, the call did not get received. Travis will be start working on Monday the 10th. He will work days for a couple of weeks to get used to the process and equipment then he will be moved to nights. We are not sure of his schedule but that is ok....we can make anything work!!! It is a blessing that he was rehired through Wyoming Machinery, as we will get our insurance back, starting at the same place we were with deductible and maximum out of pocket.
We will be staying at Kaycee's house for a bit but plan to try and get our own place and quickly as possible. We truly love Kaycee for allowing us to stay with her, but don't want to take advantage of her....We want her to remain the great and loving friend she has always been!!! We hope to be in Wright as it is a smaller town and we have grown tired of the "big city" lifestyle. Gillette is not as big as Casper but we are kind of excited to be in Wright...we loved being there and want our kids to love growing up there also. If I did not answer any of your questions please ask away!!!
